Smooth Flow #1 and #2 (3 hours each)
Date: Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28, 9am-12pm
In each workshop, you will first learn how to use the hammock as a tool for any challenging parts of the class to come. We’ll be able to offer personalized adjustments for anyone who needs them during this section. Once you’ve built some familiarity with the challenging parts of the class sequence, you will be able to flow more smoothly through the class that follows.
Each Smooth Flow workshop will be a different sequence of movement.

Core Strengthening Aerial (2 hours)
Date: Saturday July 27, 2-4pm

Many people think of “core” strength as working on abdominal strength. In fact, true core strengthening exercises work to stabilize the entire spine. Abdominal muscles play a role, but much deeper muscles along the length of the spine are what we will focus on in this master class. Unnata Yoga founder, Michelle Dortignac, will teach you how to use the yoga hammock to find not just strength for a healthy physique, but also profound stability which brings fortitude to your mind. Smooth Flow #1 or Aerial Basics (at Kula) required

 

Advanced Students & Teachers (2 hours)
Date: Saturday July 27, 5-7pm

This workshop is specifically designed for aerial teachers and advanced students – instructor approval required. Not included in the weekend package price. 

 

 

Low Sling Aerial (2 hours)
Date: Sunday July 28, 1-3pm
The Unnata method is more than an aerial yoga class. Beyond flips, tricks, and pretty poses, the Unnata method teaches deeper body awareness in multi-dimensional space. And like all forms of Hatha Yoga, Unnata Yoga guides practitioners to notice the subtle movements of breath, energy and mind.
Completely enveloped in your own cocoon, and only inches from the floor, in this workshop you can forget about the outside world and concentrate on your own relaxation. When the body is relaxed, the mind becomes more open and receptive. Michelle Dortignac will guide you through this low-sling class of new inventions mixed with some old favorites, ending with an exploration of our innermost subtle self. No inversions.

Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging, form of yoga, based on Sri Dharma Mittra’s almost 50 years of practice of classical yoga. The Dharma 3 series is an intermediate series, meant to transition students to a more advanced level.
