Workshop 1: Learn (or Improve) Inversions with the Yoga hammock
Open to all levels of yoga/aerial yoga experience
Date: Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 10:00am-12:00pm
Unsupported inversions take many years to learn. Even somewhat simple inversions such as shoulder-stand can be more challenging to practice than on first assumption. One needs to train the body and mind how to get into the inversion, how to find balance once there, how to last in the position, and how to get out of the position safely. We’ll be able to use the hammock as a tool to train your body and mind these many aspects of inverting, so that you’ll know how to confidently practice inversions on your own, and one day you’ll be able to do perfect inversions, unsupported!
Workshop 2: A Class Just for Yoga Teachers (and long-time, dedicated Yoga students)
Date: Sunday, February 17 2019, 2:00-4:00pm
Perhaps you’re new to Unnata Aerial Yoga, but you’re not new to Yoga. In fact, you already have a wealth of knowledge plus a strong and serious Asana/Yoga practice. Treat yourself to a class where you can learn or practice a movement method (perhaps new to you) in a setting where everyone will be receptive to seeking inner stillness. You’ll be able to go further than you can in an average “aerial yoga” class when students who vibrate on the same frequency surround you. Michelle will also be able to share with you several tips learned from teaching Yoga with a hammock that can help improve your teaching skills for your own (non-hammock) Yoga classes.
Cost: It is possible to do one single workshop for $45 in adv, or $50 on day of, or both workshops for $85 in adv or $95 on day of. Interested in Day 1 as well? Take the full Urban Retreat (Day 1 & Day 2) for $130 if paid by Feb 9, or $140 after Feb 9. Day 1 details here.
