Our most popular class, Unnata Low Hammock Aerial Yoga blends a unique balance between restorative yoga and more active yoga flow classes.

The Unnata method teaches deeper body awareness in multi-dimensional space, interweaving use of an aerial hammock (or other equipment) to support traditional Yoga postures. Each class maintains the integrity of a complete Hatha Yoga sequence, guiding practitioners to notice the subtle movements of breath, energy and thought.

For students interested in our full-height hammock classes, Low Hammock Yoga classes develop familiarity with the equipment, necessary coordination skills, and teach you the language of Unnata Aerial Yoga. (Which, can differ greatly from other aerial yoga you might have experienced.)

About Your Instructor

Michelle Dortignac, founder of Unnata® Aerial Yoga, is an E-RYT 500 certified Yoga instructor of close to 25 years, while during a large portion of those years also being a professional aerial acrobatics performer. Her most influential Yoga teachers include Dharma Mittra, Alan Finger, Cyndi Lee, Susan Braham and Nishit Patel.

Since its inception in 2006, Unnata Aerial Yoga led the growth of popularity and the development of the aerial yoga genre. Today the Unnata Aerial Yoga Teacher Training program is world renowned for its high standards, high-quality training. Participants receive large amounts of personalized instruction, and graduates receive a great amount of continuing support.
